A severe Heat Watch/Warning is in effect for the Portland Area. It starts at 11:00 am Friday and ends at 5 am Monday the 25th.

High temps on Saturday expected to be between 96 – 101 degrees.

The food pantry area is not air conditioned and some of it is outside. This is not safe for our approximately 300 pantry recipients or our volunteers so we will be closed on Saturday.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in a cool area, stay out of the sunshine, and check on relatives and neighbors. 

Watch for locations of cooling shelters in the area online. You can also check on the news if you do not have AC or fans.
