East County Food Pantry is in need of volunteers in the following areas:

Wednesday:  

11:00am – Noon: 

Pick up Food at Target in Fairview for the Food pantry.  YOU MUST HAVE AN SUV OR PICK-UP TRUCK. YOU ALSO MUST HAVE OR YOU NEED TO OBTAIN A FOOD HANDLER’S CARD.

Friday:  

9:30am – 11:30am: 

Receive Food Delivery from Oregon Food Bank and store it in our Refrigerated trailer and Pantry.  Requires some lifting.

10:00am – Noon:   

Set up the dry goods market for Saturday. Pack the Saturday delivery bags.

Saturday:

8:45am – 10:45am:  

Set up the food pantry outside for the Fresh Food Tables and the Produce. Set up the Bakery in the Dry Goods Market.

9:30am – 12:45pm:    

Volunteers for kitchen assistance with cutting bagels, setting up food trays, making coffee and pitchers of drinks, and keeping tables filled with continental breakfast items.

Registration volunteer opportunities include Spanish translators and registering our Neighbors using the Service Insights Meal Connect (SIMC) Windows registration website. Training is quick and will be provided as needed.

9:30am – 1:00pm:    

Volunteers to help run the food pantry.  There are a variety of jobs including market help, produce help, and fresh food help, as well as help with the main table, shopping carts, and shopping cart retrieval.

12:30pm – 1:00pm:    

Volunteers to clean up and store items.
