DRIVE-THRU ONLY THIS SATURDAY. Our Food Pantry will be going down memory lane this Saturday. This Saturday, we will be going back to a drive-thru model of food distribution in our parking lot. Due to a delivery error with the Oregon Food Bank, we will not have enough food for shopping indoors. Instead, we will give every car a pre-made bag of random groceries from what we have in storage plus fresh food from Urban Gleaners.
The Drive-thru food pantry will open Saturday, May 6 at 11:00 am. (Please do not arrive before 10:30 am.)
The East County Food Pantry at Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church is located at:
2420 NE Fairview Ave
Fairview, OR 97024.
The Food Pantry will be open this Saturday from 11:00 AM to noon. Anybody in need of food is welcome to come.
Also, anyone is welcome to go down memory lane in a different sense the next day on Sunday, May 7 at 2:00 pm for a free choir concert with a theme of 60’s music. The Concords Chorale is a touring choir of very talented singers who love to share the joy of music with people. Their concerts are fun and energetic – enjoyable for people of all ages. So, invite your friends and your family to Smith Memorial Presbyterian Church this Sunday afternoon at 2:00 pm for songs such as Puff the Magic Dragon, Blowing in the Wind, MTA, Day-O, Sounds of Silence, Leaving on a Jet Plane, and If I Had a Hammer. Some of the songs will also be presented as a sing-a-long. It is sure to be lots of fun!
