We Need Your Help for Our 5K Fundraiser
Imagine walking with hundreds of your neighbors, wearing the same T-shirt, and coming together to make a positive difference in our community.
On Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024, we are hosting our first annual 5k “Walk for Your Neighbor” fundraiser.
The concept is to develop a fun way for our community to walk side by side as neighbors caring for those in need while raising funds to benefit our food pantry.
We would love for as many of you to sign up to walk as possible and/or encourage your friends and family to walk with us. Here are some ways you can help:

Here is the schedule of events for Monday, September 2:
9:00 am – Registration begins. People pickup t-shirts, socialize, listen to music, and can engage in optional lawn games that are available like cornhole as they wait.
10:00 am – Speeches thanking the sponsors, sharing about the food pantry, and giving away some great Raffle Prizes.
10:30 am – Begin walk. (It usually takes 1 1/2 hours for people to walk the 5k.)
12:00 am – People are encouraged to have lunch together – perhaps you might want to meet at the Fairview Forks Food Carts or other sponsor restaurants.
We appreciate any help that you can give to reach our goal of raising $20,000 to support the operations of our food pantry so that we can become more sustainable in 2025.
